Senior Cost Manager/Senior Quantity Surveyor - Aviation

We are currently recruiting for a Senior Cost Manager / Quantity Surveyor to undertake duties on a high profile aviation project based in west London.Responsibilities

Manage the sub-programme contract commercial and cost activities, ensuring the adequacy and viability of contract commercial information.Support the procurement process to achieve best value by developing optimum delivery strategies into procurement plans and contract awards, inclusive of incentivisation.Advise on supplier selection following tendering or negotiations to support sound decision-making.Manage all post-contract commercial activities, supporting contract changes, red files, instructed work scope changes (PMIs), and award fee recommendations.Support contractors in maintaining transparency and data integrity to minimise risks of inaccurate information.Manage sub-programme potential liability through timely response to contractor notifications.Provide recommendations to approve applications for payment and proactively manage contractual issues through to resolution, escalating disputes to the client as appropriate.Evaluate cost impacts of alternate delivery strategies, including benchmark assessments, prior to implementation.Support and provide guidance to the Cost and Commercial team as required.Manage all contract close-out activities in line with client contractual requirements.Support and encourage the development of appropriate sub-programme working practices in adherence to client processes.Qualifications

Understanding/experience in tendering support, procurement support, target price negotiation, tier 2 procurement and commercial management, contract change (EWN, PMI), valuations, payment, disallowable costs, and claims in an NEC environment.Previous airport experience is an advantage.Additional Information
