Week days and Weekends

Based in Beverley

• Lead the kitchen during your shift and supervise kitchen assistants.
• Prepare and cook meals to approved menus and recipes.
• Cater for special dietary needs, including modified diets and thickened fluids.
• Adapt menus to meet residents'' preferences and dietary requirements.
• Serve meals in appropriate portions.
• Maintain kitchen cleanliness and hygiene standards.
• Follow food safety procedures and keep accurate records (temperatures, stock, wastage, etc.).
• Monitor stock levels and help with ordering and storage.

• Experience cooking for groups, ideally in a care home, healthcare, school, or similar setting.
• Knowledge of food hygiene and food safety.
• Understanding of special diets (e.g., diabetic, texture-modified, allergen-aware meals).
• Ability to supervise staff and organise a kitchen shift.
• Good record-keeping and stock control skills.
