Are you an experienced in continuous improvement within the engineering/manufacturing sector looking to join a well-established manufacturing company.

This company are a highly respected and well-established manufacturing organisation based in Plymouth, with a global presence and a reputation for delivering high-quality engineering solutions to some of the world''s leading technology companies. Due to continued growth, they are now looking for a Senior Process Engineer to take ownership of key manufacturing processes within their Sheet Metal department.

In this role, you will lead new product introductions (NPI), drive continuous improvement initiatives, and support day-to-day production to ensure world-class manufacturing standards are achieved. You will play a pivotal role in optimising processes, improving efficiency, and embedding a culture of continuous improvement across the site.

This role would suit a proactive and solutions-focused engineer with strong leadership skills and a passion for process optimisation, looking to make a real impact within a forward-thinking organisation.

The Role:

• Own and develop manufacturing processes within the Sheet Metal department, including NPI and continuous improvement initiatives using lean principles
• Improve productivity, reduce waste, and enhance product quality
• Provide day-to-day production support, ensuring efficient material flow, tooling, and equipment performance
• Deliver projects on time and within budget, maintaining high standards of health & safety and quality
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Engineering, Quality, Production, Maintenance, and Supply Chain
• Support and coach junior engineers, promoting a culture of continuous improvement and development
• Monday to Friday, 39 hours per week
• Yearly bonus, monthly performance related bonus, company pension matched up to 5%, 3x life insurance, 33 days annual leave (including bank holidays) plus holiday purchasing scheme

The Person:

• Engineering degree, lean business improvements and / or similar qualification desirable
• Proven experience in a senior engineering engineering role
• Strong background in sheet metal manufacturing, including welding and jig design
• Experience in NPI, process optimisation, project delivery, and lean manufacturing (TPM, OEE, CI)
