Senior Consultant, European Capital Advisory

The European Capital Advisory team is expanding and requires a Senior Consultant based in our London office. Senior Consultants will have the opportunity to apply financial analysis skills, commercial awareness and professional expertise to stressed and distressed situations. This role offers a unique opportunity for a Senior Consultant to work on large (multi-billion pound), complex refinancing and restructuring transactions that provide exposure to a wide variety of investment banking style financial advisory services. The European Capital Advisory team is a small group of professionals, led by Raj Apte, dedicated to covering Continental Europe. Prepare, analyse and evaluate historical and project financial performancePrepare or review financial modelsDisplay a high level of commercial acumen and an awareness of the key drivers of corporate failure or underperformanceCoordinate and perform financial due diligenceExperienced in presenting findings clearly in reports and other deliverables to clientsStrong quantitative and analytical skills with a focus on accuracy and attention to detailUnderstanding of basic corporate finance principles, including different valuation theories, methodologies and applicationsAbility to read and comprehend financial and legal documentationAssist in the planning and execution of business development activitiesBuild relationships and maintain direct contact with clients and prospective clients and professional advisorsHighly proficient in MS Excel modelling skills (in particular integrated financial models) and MS PowerPoint presentation preparations skillsActing with discretion, integrity and professionalism at all times and being a key source of support for more senior individualsDemonstrating strong interpersonal skills across all levels of peopleBeing seen as a cooperative team player willing to resolve issues for the good of allProactively taking on the challenge of unfamiliar tasks and being calm under pressurePositive outlook, seen as committed and enthusiastic, and shows initiative and adopts a proactive approachExcellent verbal and written communication skills (additional European language skills. e.g. German is a plus)What can we offer you?
