EES Solution is seeking Senior Systems Engineers to help drive the development and improvement of systems engineering processes, methods, and tools across a complex electrical/electronic environment. This role offers the opportunity to influence engineering culture and drive technical excellence, with a primary focus on developing systems engineering practices, not project management.
This is a high-impact technical position ideal for individuals who are passionate about systems thinking, improving engineering capability, and delivering value across software, hardware, and mechatronic systems.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and uphold best practices for systems engineering across cross-functional teams.
- Author and review robust, high-quality requirements in line with defined processes and standards.
- Engage with engineering users to gather input and feedback on needs, pain points, and expectations.
- Maintain up-to-date understanding of system engineering processes and relevant legislative and regulatory environments.
- Collaborate with business analysts and process experts to improve engineering processes and ensure compliance.
- Define and track Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) for systems engineering efficiency and quality.
- Contribute to product roadmaps by identifying process, method, tool, and training needs in collaboration with product owners.
- Support process, methods, and tool development by helping developers apply systems engineering principles effectively.
- Foster knowledge sharing, mentoring, and best practice dissemination across the engineering community.
Required Skills & Experience:
- Proven experience as a Systems Engineering practitioner across the full development lifecycle.
- Strong practical knowledge of systems engineering tools such as IBM DOORS, Rhapsody, and Catia Magic (or similar).
- Significant expertise in requirements management, traceability, and validation practices.
- Practical experience with process/method development in a real-world engineering environment.
- Ability to influence mindsets and implement complex process and methodology changes.
- Background in industries such as automotive, defence, aerospace, or rail.
- Familiarity with key engineering disciplines including:
- System modelling (SysML/UML)
- Failure Mode Analysis (FMA)
- Cybersecurity principles
- Functional safety (ISO 26262 or equivalent)
Education & Qualifications:
- Relevant academic background in Systems Engineering, Electrical/Electronic Engineering, or related disciplines.
- Systems Engineering certifications (e.g., INCOSE) are highly desirable.
