To see that our commitments to our clients are delivered on time to requisite levels of detail and quality.Managing the commissioning processValidating the commissioning process and seeing that results obtained align with requirements.Inspecting existing systems to determine how they perform.Providing consultative advice in determining commissioning and performance requirements, commissioning strategies, programmes, scopes of work and the likeCarrying out measurements, surveys and other technical inspectionsAdditionally, at all times

Engaging with other members of the Company to help improve existing systems and procedures.Talking the role of Champion in an area of specific technical interestTo promote the company and the wider group through marketing activitiesResponsibilities

To act safely at all times in compliance with the Company’s health and safety policy and proceduresTo work diligently, efficiently and professionally at all timesTo ensure technical compliance and high-quality production of our deliverablesTo work closely as part of a main contractor’s team in developing commissioning strategies and processes which align fully with project objectivesTo fully adopt the Company’s project and internal management systemsTo maintain an acute awareness of project finances and control expenditure thereofTo attend meetings as requiredTo prepare both internal and client reports containing technical, commercial and programme aspectsTo develop project specific commissioning management/validation documents and proceduresTo comment technically on drawings, manuals and technical submittalsTo develop project specific method statements, test scripts and the likeTo be aware and report internally on project scope changeTo work with other members of a professional team in evaluating progress, difficulties and costsTo undertake hands on commissioning work as necessaryGeneral Duties

To look ahead with a view to arranging test instrumentation required for testing.To assist in the development of tender submissionsTo accurately complete timesheets on a weekly basisTo pro-actively support other members of staff in undertaking their workPreferred Qualifications

Engineering degree and/or LEED accreditationA strong controls background is highly desirable.4 years of industry experience dealing with mechanical, electrical and controls disciplinesRequired Qualifications

Must be willing to travel to site-based locations as reasonably based on HDR needsMust be an experienced engineer, either a licensed PE or a field technician with excellent understanding of MEP systems, HVAC controls, the TandB process, etcMust have good computer skills and effective typing skillsUnderstanding of Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook, and Project softwareExcellent verbal and written communication skillsBe familiar with the organization of design documents, the preparation of the multidiscipline designs, and the delivery of the design and construction servicesStrong knowledge of construction practices, systems engineering, operations fundamentals, contracting, and general business operationsUnderstanding of project accounting and financial management toolsAbility to prioritize and organize work; ability to work on multiple tasks concurrentlyAn attitude and commitment to being an active participant of our employee-owned culture is a mustWhat We Believe
