It focuses on delivering end-to-end solutions that cover the full lifecycle of a facility, from design through ongoing maintenance. Its work is centred on helping clients improve safety, resilience, and operational efficiency through integrated technology and service.

They are looking to recruit a Senior Commissioning Engineer within their Security systems team based around the Midlands

Purpose of the role:

To take full technical ownership of the planning, coordination, and on site delivery of commissioning activities for large scale, integrated electronic security systems within data centre and mission critical environments.

Key responsibilities:

• Lead the commissioning strategy, sequencing, and delivery for complex, multi system security projects
• Act as the senior technical authority on site during commissioning, testing, and handover
• Commission integrated CCTV, Access Control, PSIM and intrusion systems, including IP based and networked solutions
• Produce and manage commissioning plans, documentation, integrated testing programmes, and handover packs
• Coordinate with project managers, client teams, IT stakeholders, and third party contractors
• Verify system resilience, redundancy, fail safe operation, and compliance with design intent
• Provide technical leadership and oversight to installation and commissioning engineers
• Lead issue resolution during commissioning and ensure formal sign off and acceptance

Required experience and capability:

• Proven experience as a Senior or Lead Commissioning Engineer delivering enterprise level security systems
• Demonstrable experience working in data centre or mission critical environments

Strong technical knowledge of:

• Enterprise access control platforms (Lenel, C CURE, Gallagher, AMAG)
• IP CCTV and VMS platforms (Genetec, Milestone)
• IP networking, servers, system integration, and redundancy
  • Experience planning and leading large, complex commissioning phases.
  • Strong stakeholder management and leadership skills
  • Methodical, documentation driven approach suitable for regulated environments

Qualifications (preferred):

* Relevant electrical, electronic, or security engineering qualification

* Manufacturer certifications for enterprise security platforms

* Full UK driving licence and ability to obtain data centre security clearance

* Prepared to travel
