OverviewAn exciting organisation that is an instantly recognisable business is recruiting for a Senior Commercial Finance Manager to lead a high performing team and partner Exec level commercial leaders within the business. This is also a role that could be a succession hire to lead the overall function as well.

Responsibilities

Provide daily financial leadership and challenge to business partners on pricing, promotions, and buying decisions.

Evaluate and enhance existing weekly and monthly reporting to provide robust and insightful guidance to buyers and the leadership team on trading performance.

Lead the buying budget and forecast process. Own the overall forecasting process, focusing on accuracy improvements and understanding key trade drivers.

Support the buyers with annual business plans with suppliers to negotiate optimal deals, then monitor performance against targets and advise on course corrections.

Be accountable for the commercial finance team''s relationship with data insight colleagues, fostering strong and collaborative ways of working.

Educational background, skills and experience

Qualified accountant with strong academics

Strong communication and influencing skills

Highly numerate and analytical with a keen eye for detail, deadline-focused and goal-oriented

Able to demonstrate prior performance at a senior finance manager level

Experience of business partnering with senior stakeholders

Excellent communication skills and ability to build relationships with key internal and external stakeholders

Organised individual who can function in a team environment

Prepared to go the extra mile and ensure that the job is well done and not just completed
