Senior Commercial Finance Manager - Sport

Overview

We are currently recruiting for an exciting opportunity to join a Sporting organisation as Senior Commercial Finance Manager. This is initially an 8-month fixed-term contract, with potential to become a permanent role for the right candidate. Start Date: Mid-September. Location: Travel required in the UK.This role is ideal for a commercially minded, qualified accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA) with at least 5 years'' post-qualification experience and a strong track record in commercial finance and business partnering at a senior level.Responsibilities

Partner with commercial and operational teams to evaluate performance, optimise revenues, and improve cost efficiency across all income streamsProvide clear, forward-looking financial analysis to support key business decisions and pricing strategiesPresent key performance insights, forecasts, and trends to the CEO and senior leadership team to enable informed, data-led decisionsLead and support long-term financial planning, including the development of robust business cases for future growth initiativesCollaborate with non-finance stakeholders to gain a deep understanding of operational performance, highlighting key risks and identifying value-adding opportunitiesCandidate Profile

Fully qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, or CIMA)Minimum 5 years’ PQE in a commercial finance or FPandA roleProven experience in business partnering senior stakeholdersStrong commercial acumen and excellent presentation skillsComfortable working in a fast-paced, evolving environmentLeadership experience with the ability to manage and develop a small teamEmployment details
