Senior Clinical Fellow in General Surgery (ST3+ equivalent) - General Surgery, Lower GI. The General Surgery department at St George''s University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust seeks to appoint a Trust Grade doctor at ST3+ level to join the general surgery team on a replacement post and participate in the on-call rota as a 1:13 daytime and night-time on call.This is a clinical post (ST3+ level) where the appointee will join the general surgery firm and remain there for the duration of their contract. The post provides a development platform with the potential to build a portfolio of experience. If the appointee has an interest in research or education, this can be facilitated as part of the post.Responsibilities
Participate in the elective activity of the firm and the emergency activity of the department.Attend elective theatres according to the weekly allocation of junior staff and educational needs.Provide clinics (general and specialised) on a weekly basis according to allocations.Participate in, prepare for, and present at MDTs for professional development.Engage in quality improvement projects, research participation and teaching due to the department''s close relation with SGU Medical School.Qualifications and Training
