Senior Civil Engineer (@one Alliance)

The Vacancy: Binnies, an RSK Group Company, is looking for a Senior Civil Engineer to join our @one Alliance.What will you be doing as our new Senior Civil Engineer?Working as a talented Civil Engineer within a multi-disciplinary project team, you’ll provide civil engineering technical capability and design expertise to develop and deliver water and water recycling solutions.Key responsibilities:

Production of civil designs, calculations, and specifications to ‘Issued For Construction’ standard for water, wastewater, or pipeline projects, liaising directly with CAD technicians to enable production of either 3D models or 2D drawings.Working within multi-discipline design teams to produce designs that are on time, within budget, and meet the required standards, liaising with stakeholders including Operations, contractors, and suppliers.Drive excellence in Health and Safety in design by eliminating hazards and reducing risks during design whilst complying with Alliance CDM procedures.Progress projects from feasibility stage through detailed design to construction.Undertake site visits to assess current condition of assets for feasibility studies, reports, and provide survey data for asset integration into our design solutions.Provide support to update existing, and increase the number of, Standard Products used within our design solutions on a repeatable basis.Identify and promote opportunities to meet project digital, sustainability, innovation, and people objectives.A little bit about your skills, experience, and behaviours…

To join us, ideally hold a minimum of HNC/HND in Civil Engineering or demonstrate suitable experience in Civil Engineering. You should have demonstrable experience designing various civil structures within the Water and Waste Water Industry, be comfortable using MS Office and relevant engineering design software, and familiar with British Standards and Eurocodes.You should be able to interpret ground investigation reports to enable correct design solutions and communicate effectively with a range of stakeholders.
