Bachelor Degree in Civil Engineering, CEng Mice and 5 years’ experience working in a consultancy environmentWorking on a variety of projects across a range of sectors including housing development, energy infrastructure and highwaysExcellent technical skills in Drainage design, Civil 3d Design, Earthworks modellingManaging and mentoring junior and graduate EngineersFull UK right to work, Sponsorship is not available for this positionPurpose of the Senior Civil Engineer
To play a crucial role in the growth and success of the Civil Engineering team including being responsible for overseeing the engineering design of development sites, managing the day-to-day running of the civil engineering aspects of development projects including financial management, resourcing, programme and delivery. OperationsResponsible for leading and managing civil engineering projects, including design, planning, construction oversight, and technical analysis.Prepare or check technical reports, specifications, drawings, calculations, risk assessments and method statements.Ensure compliance with relevant standards, codes, and regulations in all design work.Review and evaluation of design concepts to optimize performance, efficiency, and cost-effectiveness.Adhere to company policies, procedures, and safety standards at all times.Continually strive for organisational improvement through championing improved systems and operations.Adhere and contribute to the company Health and Safety policies and procedures.PeopleActively manage and lead those reporting to you; provide support and encouragement of their continuing professional development in line with their goals for the year and in line with the department visionCollaborate with cross-functional teams to address design challenges, resolve issues, and drive continuous improvementProactively identify learning opportunities relevant to your role and those reporting to youActively participate in company reviews and goal setting sessionsSeniority level
