Senior Civil Engineer – UK (Braintree, Essex Office, Hybrid Eligible)

Our client, a leading multi-disciplinary property consultancy and trusted advisor, is looking for a Senior Civil Engineer to join their team. They offer Architecture and Design, Project Management, Surveying, Engineering, and Energy and Sustainability services across the UK, supporting projects from concept through delivery with sustainability at the core.
This is a hands-on, client-facing role where you will lead and manage civil engineering projects, work closely with multi-disciplinary teams, and oversee design, staff, and project delivery.

What You’ll Do:

- Be fully immersed in projects: design work, staff management, and client-facing activities.
- Lead the design and development of highways, drainage systems, infrastructure
- Ensure all designs comply with relevant regulations, planning requirements, and industry standards.
- Proactively solve technical challenges and provide innovative engineering solutions.
- Support quality assurance and ensure adherence to health, safety, and sustainability standards (CDM 2015).

Who We’re Looking For:

- Experienced in residential developments, particularly large, long-life-span projects (300–400 plots, often in Belwair countryside settings).
- Comfortable managing all aspects of civil engineering projects, from design to delivery.
- Proficient in 3D modelling using Civil 3D.
- Holds or working towards a relevant degree/apprenticeship and corporate membership with ICE.
- Able to collaborate effectively with clients and multi-disciplinary teams.
