First People Solutions is recruiting for a leading consulting engineer based in the centre of Edinburgh.

This company has built a strong and stable presence across civil, structural, and infrastructure engineering, and are recognised as a well-respected consultancy. They''ve received multiple industry awards for sustainability, design excellence, and innovation, with several projects celebrated for their cultural and environmental impact.

Due to continued growth, they are seeking a Senior Civil Engineer to take a lead role within their Edinburgh office. You''ll oversee a team of engineers and technicians, manage key infrastructure and development projects, and have the opportunity to progress toward Associate level.

The role will be predominantly office-based, as they are looking for a hands-on manager who can provide day-to-day guidance and support to a team of graduate engineers and technicians.

Your experience, background and approach to work will include:

• Experienced Civil Engineer with strong technical and design capability
• Skilled in Civil 3D and InfoDrainage is essential
• Able to manage projects independently and deliver to high standards
• Confident working directly with clients and multidisciplinary teams
• Experience mentoring and supporting junior engineers
• Chartered or working toward chartered status
