Senior Civil Engineer

We''re looking for an experienced Senior Civil Engineer to join a growing civil engineering team delivering a diverse portfolio of infrastructure projects across the residential, commercial and highways sectors.

This is an excellent opportunity to take a lead role in the design and delivery of civil engineering schemes, while mentoring junior engineers and contributing to the continued growth of the business.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the design and delivery of highways and civil engineering projects from concept through to detailed design.
• Produce designs for roads, access junctions, drainage, flood risk and infrastructure works.
• Ensure designs comply with current standards, legislation and best practice.
• Manage project delivery to programme and budget.
• Mentor junior engineers and provide technical guidance.
• Prepare technical reports and liaise with clients, local authorities and other stakeholders.

Requirements

• Degree in Civil Engineering (or equivalent).
• Around 8+ years'' post-graduate experience in civil/highway engineering.
• Strong experience with highways design, drainage strategies and Section 278/184 schemes.
• Knowledge of DMRB, Manual for Streets, LTN 1/20, NRSWA and highway adoption processes (S278, S38, S104).
• Proficient in AutoCAD, Civil 3D, Vehicle Tracking and drainage design software.
• Excellent communication, organisation and project management skills.
• Chartered status or working towards chartership (ICE/CIHT/CIWEM) is desirable.
