Senior Civil Engineer

My client, a highly-respected, diverse Multidisciplinary Consultancy is currently searching for a Senior Civil Engineer to join their growing team of design engineers, based near the industrial, culturally-rich city of Coventry.

Essential Criteria:

- Extensive experience in the sector, specifically within the a consultancy setting in a design capacity

- A Bachelor''s Degree or Master''s Degree in Civil Engineering

- Demonstrable experience of leading project design

- Knowledge of the relevant Section Agreements, including S104, S38, S278, etc., and their applications within the design process

- Experience of managing stakeholders across the public and private sectors, with commercial knowledge and awareness

- Good working knowledge of a range of software packages, including AutoCAD, Civils 3D, etc.

It would also be beneficial for applicants for the role of Senior Civil Engineer to possess the following:

- Chartered Membership of a recognised Professional Body (or proactively working to attain Chartered Status)

- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills

- Good time management skills, with the ability to remain flexible and adaptable

- A willingness to engage with a range of projects, with a view to developing your career

In your diverse new role of Senior Civil Engineer, you will join an established team of engineers and designers within the industry. You will be encouraged to develop your repertoire of skills through Continuing Professional Development (CPD). The role will involve several responsibilities, including:

- Overseeing a range of design projects at all stages of the process, from inception through to successful completion and delivery

- Preparation of tenders and fee proposals, drawing upon commercial and technical experience

- Producing Flood Risk Assessments, Flood Scoping Reports, and Drainage Strategies, overseeing their completion by a team of colleagues

- Leading your team in the production of conceptual drainage design (incorporating SuDS techniques) and the creation of relevant drainage plans, as well as adoptable roads and highways

- Designing cut and fill strategies for a range of projects, where appropriate

- Reviewing a number of reports, calculations, and drawings

- Presenting Flood Risk Appraisals to clients, providing practical risk mitigation, recommendations, and commercial advice
