This is an outstanding opportunity to join my client, a highly-respected, well-established multidisciplinary consultancy, renowned for lending their specialist design services to a diverse range of projects across the civil engineering, planning, and landscape architecture fields. My client is on the lookout for a motivated, experienced Senior Civil Engineer, capable of leading a growing team across a number of residential, commercial, and retail projects, based in the beautiful, northern city of York.

Responsibilities for the role of Senior Civil Engineer include:

• Work on a diverse range of public and private sector projects, including for Local Authorities
• Complete Flood Risk Assessments and Drainage Strategies, also assisting colleagues in doing so
• Producing Sustainable Drainage Systems (SuDS), Access Roads, Road Alignment, Highways, and Site Design, utilising the appropriate software packages (including AutoCAD and Civils 3D)
• Leading high-profile projects at all stages, from initial inception through to successful delivery
• Forging, maintaining, and managing client relations across the public and private sectors
• Liaising with clients to ascertain project budgets and realistic timescales
• Representing the company at design team meetings and site visits

Required skills and experience for the role of Senior Civil Engineer include:

• Hold a Bachelor''s or Master''s Degree (or equivalent qualification) in Civil Engineering (or similar, relevant field)
• Be a Chartered Civil Engineer, or actively working to attain Chartership Status
• Extensive relevant experience within a consultancy setting
• Demonstrable experience in completing Site Design, Drainage Strategies, and Road Alignment for Planning Applications
• Strong competencies in the relevant software packages, to include InfoDrainage and Civils 3D

Desirable skills and experience for the role of Senior Civil Engineer include:

• Live near to York, being familiar with the region
• Hold a full, valid UK driving licence
