Senior Civil Engineer
We are seeking an experienced Civil Engineer to join our growing team in our Cambridge office. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in civil engineering, with a willingness to take on more responsibility or collaborate in a dynamic and supportive environment. Key Responsibilities:
·Lead and manage civil engineering projects from concept through to completion, ensuring they are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest standards.
·Collaborate with project teams, including architects, planners, and environmental specialists, to develop practical and sustainable engineering solutions.
·Provide technical expertise in areas such as site development, drainage, highways, and infrastructure design.
·Prepare and review technical reports, drawings, specifications, and calculations.
·Liaise with clients, contractors, and local authorities to ensure compliance with regulations and project requirements.
·Mentor and support junior engineers, helping to foster a collaborative and knowledge-sharing environment.
·Stay up to date with industry developments, best practices, and regulatory changes.
Qualifications and Experience:
·Degree in Civil Engineering or a related discipline.
·Chartered Engineer (CEng) status or working towards it is preferred but not essential.
·Proven experience in a similar civil engineering role, with a strong understanding of design principles, construction methods, and project management.
·Proficiency in relevant software (e.g., AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and other design tools).
·Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to interact effectively with clients and stakeholders.
·Ability to work independently and as part of a team, managing multiple projects simultaneously.
·Knowledge of UK design standards and regulations.
