Our client, a well-established residential developer based in Birmingham, is looking to strengthen its in-house engineering team with the appointment of a Senior Civil Engineer. Unlike many developers who outsource design work, this business has invested heavily in an in-house civil engineering capability. You''ll play a key role in the design and delivery of major residential developments, working closely with land, planning, technical and construction teams from concept through to completion. This is an excellent opportunity to influence schemes from the earliest stages, take ownership of infrastructure design and help create high-quality residential communities across the Midlands. Role Design residential infrastructure schemes including highways, drainage and earthworks Prepare and review technical drawings, reports and calculations Manage the adoption process for roads and sewers (S38, S278 and S104 agreements) Liaise with local authorities, statutory undertakers and external stakeholders Support planning applications and detailed design submissions Collaborate closely with technical, land and construction teams Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers where appropriate Assist in identifying value engineering opportunities across developments About you Degree qualified in Civil Engineering or related discipline Experience in residential ..... full job details .....
