Senior Civil Engineer | Birmingham

Our busy client is an ambitious and growing consultancy based in Birmingham, providing expert transport planning and highways engineering services across the UK. They work on a diverse portfolio of projects, from residential and commercial developments to major infrastructure schemes, delivering practical, high-quality solutions for our clients.

We are seeking a skilled and motivated Civil Engineer to join their expanding team. This role offers the opportunity to work on a wide range of development and transport infrastructure projects, contributing from concept design through to detailed delivery.

• Design highways and infrastructure schemes, including junctions, access arrangements, and drainage layouts
• Prepare technical drawings and specifications using AutoCAD / Civils 3D
• Undertake feasibility studies, site assessments, and design calculations
• Support the preparation of Transport Assessments and technical reports
• Liaise with clients, local authorities, and project stakeholders
• Ensure designs comply with relevant standards (e.g. DMRB, Manual for Streets, local authority guidance)
• Assist with project delivery, ensuring deadlines and quality standards are met

• Degree qualified in Civil Engineering (or a related discipline)
• Experience in highways / infrastructure / development engineering
• Working knowledge of UK design standards and approval processes
• Proficient in AutoCAD; Civils 3D experience desirable
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
• Working towards professional accreditation (ICE or similar) is desirable
