Position: Senior Chemist Location: Sheffield Salary: 40-50K, commensurate with experience + benefitsNicholas Associates has an excellent opportunity for a Senior Chemist, to work with an innovative and cutting edge client in Sheffield.The RoleWe are seeking a talented Senior Chemist to join our client''s chemistry team, bringing specialist carbon materials expertise to complement their existing development programme. Working alongside the existing chemistry team, the Senior Chemist will support both carbon materials development and production objectives.ResponsibilitiesAs part of the technical team, the Senior Chemist''s responsibilities will include:Contributing to the design of routes to generate high value carbon materials from a base Carbon material (e.g. activated Carbon or hard Carbon).Evaluating the suitability of upgraded Carbon materials for high value applications.Collaborating on separation method design to purify Carbon materials.Characterising Carbon materials using relevant techniques such as BET, XRD, SEM, etc.Optimising energy and materials usage to minimise production costs in collaboration with the existing chemistry team.Collaborating with interdisciplinary teams to develop practical production methods for the developed Carbon materials.Supporting catalyst production operations alongside carbon materials development work.Supporting scale-up activities in collaboration with the existing chemistry team.Ensuring compliance with safety regulations and ..... full job details .....
