Senior CATIA Design Engineer

12 Month Contract (Inside IR35)Hybrid Working (ideally 3 days per week onsite can be some flex on this)Job Role:To design and detail efficient landing gear systems for civil and military aircraft to meet demanding customer requirements.To support the design and manufacturing of the landing gear systems across the whole life-cycle.Key Responsibilities: Support all aspects of concept to detail design throughout the life cycle of our landing gear programmesSupport all aspects of product configurationUse of up-to-date technology including computer based programmes and systems (CAD, 3D Modelling, 2D Draughting, data management systems)Designing to meet exacting customer requirements and industry standardsTechnical presentations to customersInterfacing with team members, chief engineers, programme management, manufacturing and colleagues at other sitesWorking closely with manufacturing to reduce non-conformances on productsLiaise with other sites to assist with the offload of packages of workWork towards Design check signatoryMentoring/ coaching of junior team members Key Attributes:Essential: Degree in relevant Engineering disciplineDetail Design, assembly drawings, DFMMechanical Structures experience (joints / beams / fasteners etc.)Good knowledge of design and manufacturing processes, preferably related to the aerospace industryFully conversant with traditional and computerised design and analysis methodsGood verbal and written communication skillsGeneral computer literacy ..... full job details .....
