Your new companyHays Senior Finance is partnering with a large, complex and highly respected organisation to recruit a technically strong CAPEX Accountant on a 12-month fixed-term contract.This is a high-profile role offering excellent visibility across both finance and operational teams. Working closely with senior stakeholders, you''ll play a pivotal role in ensuring robust accounting, governance and reporting across a diverse portfolio of capital projects, whilst gaining exposure to strategic decision-making and business-critical investments.The position would suit a qualified accountant who enjoys combining technical excellence with business partnering and is looking for a role that offers genuine variety, challenge and stakeholder exposure.Your new roleKey responsibilities include:Owning capital expenditure accounting and reporting activities.Ensuring expenditure is appropriately capitalised in line with IFRS and internal accounting policies.Reviewing project costs and determining the correct accounting treatment of capital and operational expenditure.Preparing month-end CAPEX reporting, fixed asset accounting and balance sheet reconciliations.Supporting budgeting, forecasting and long-term planning activities.Partnering closely with project managers and operational stakeholders to provide financial insight and challenge.Supporting governance, investment approval and control processes.Preparing analysis for both internal and external audit requirements.Identifying ..... full job details .....
