Overview

Leading global trading firm seeks a Senior C# Developer to join its technology team in London. The role involves working on front-office trading systems that support physical and financial commodity desks across global markets. You will design and develop scalable, high-performance applications used daily by traders, quants, and risk analysts. The team functions in a highly agile environment, and you will contribute to both technical direction and hands-on development across critical systems.Responsibilities

Design, develop, and maintain enterprise-level trading applications using C#/.NETBuild and enhance tools used by front-office trading desks across commodities marketsPartner with traders, analysts, and other developers to gather requirements and deliver robust software solutionsEnsure system reliability, performance, and scalability in a high-volume environmentContribute to architecture and design decisions, and mentor junior developers where appropriateIntegrate with internal and external data feeds, APIs, and trading platformsSupport modern development practices, including CI/CD and automated testingWhat we\''re looking for

7+ years of experience in C#/.NET software developmentExperience working in a front-office or trading environment, ideally within financial services or commoditiesStrong understanding of object-oriented programming, multithreading, and performance optimisationSolid experience with SQL Server and messaging systems such as RabbitMQ or KafkaComfortable working in a fast-paced, agile environment and engaging directly with business usersFamiliar with version control, CI/CD pipelines, and modern software development practicesDesirable Experience

Exposure to energy or commodities marketsKnowledge of cloud services (preferably Azure)Experience with scripting languages such as PythonWhy Apply?
