Senior Buyer – Power & Grid

Overview

Senior Buyer – Power and Grid role at Mitie Cleaning and Hygiene Services. Reports to the Head of Procurement. Responsible for supporting category strategy, sourcing, and supplier management to ensure cost-effective, high-quality supply chain solutions aligned with business needs. Acts as a trusted commercial partner with key stakeholders.Responsibilities

Lead and support strategic procurement, negotiations, and contract activities.Identify cost reduction opportunities and new supply sources.Manage supplier performance and develop category strategies.Collaborate with internal stakeholders across departments.Implement and maintain supplier management programs.Key Relationships

External: 3rd party suppliers, industry groupsInternal: Procurement head, project leads, audit, finance, business partnersPerson Specification

3-5 years procurement experienceStrong communication, negotiation, analytical, and organizational skillsProven stakeholder management and conflict resolution abilityCIPS qualification preferred, Bachelor''s degree or equivalent experience requiredHealth and Safety
