Senior Buyer

to support the delivery of utility-scale renewable energy and energy storage projects across the UK.This is a pivotal role within a growing commercial team, offering the chance to shape procurement strategy, drive value, and help deliver innovative renewable infrastructure projects that support the UK’s Net Zero goals.Key Responsibilities:Take ownership of procurement activities across multiple infrastructure projects, from early-stage development through to construction and delivery with a particular focus on Tender managementPrepare and issue tender documentation, manage RFQs, and lead negotiations with key suppliers and subcontractors.Build and manage supplier relationships, ensuring quality, cost-effectiveness, and compliance with contract terms.Work cross-functionally with project managers, engineers, legal and finance teams to ensure procurement aligns with project timelines and budgets.Track market trends and supply chain risks, identifying opportunities for cost savings and process improvements.Support the ongoing development and implementation of procurement policies, processes, and systems.Requirements:Proven experience in a procurement or buying role within the energy, utilities, infrastructure, or construction sectors.Strong commercial acumen and negotiation skills, with experience managing high-value contracts.Comfortable working across multiple projects in a fast-paced, delivery-focused environment.Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.CIPS qualification (or working towards) is desirable but not essential.What’s on Offer:A competitive salary of between £55,000 and £65,000 depending on experience plus generous bonusHybrid working model, 4 days in the Central London officeThe opportunity to work on complex, meaningful projects that directly support the decarbonisation of the UK energy systemA collaborative and supportive team with clear opportunities for progression and developmentInvolvement in a purpose-driven business focused on sustainability and innovationIf you''re looking to step into a role where your procurement expertise directly contributes to a cleaner energy future, we''d love to hear from ..... full job details .....
