Senior Buyer

We are seeking a Senior Buyer to join the Procurement & Supply Chain department within the life science industry.

This role requires a detail-oriented individual to manage purchasing activities and supplier relationships effectively in Clevedon.

Description

• Manage procurement activities to ensure the timely supply of goods and services.
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with suppliers to secure favourable terms and conditions.
• Monitor market trends and supplier performance to identify opportunities for cost savings.
• Ensure compliance with company policies and industry regulations in all purchasing activities.
• Negotiate contracts and agreements with suppliers to meet business requirements.
• Work closely with internal departments to forecast procurement needs and manage inventory levels.
• Analyse procurement data and prepare reports to support decision-making processes.
• Lead initiatives to improve procurement processes and supply chain efficiency.

Profile

A successful Senior Buyer should have:

• Experience in procurement and supply chain management within the life science industry.
• Strong negotiation and supplier relationship management skills.
• Knowledge of procurement processes and relevant industry standards.
• Ability to analyse data and present insights effectively.
• Excellent organisational and time management skills.
• A relevant qualification in procurement, supply chain, or a related field.

Job Offer

• Competitive salary between -36,000 and -44,000 per annum.
