Senior Business Development lead - (Technology & Services)
Salary: £75,000 per annum
Location: Hybrid working, with modern Birmingham city centre offices

About the Role:
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Senior Business Development lead in the Technology & Services sectors. The main purpose of the role is to drive investment into the West Midlands across the Technology & Services.
This role is pivotal in developing and implementing a strategic business development plan to attract high-profile investments and create job opportunities in the region.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead a team of sector experts to ensure effective engagement with intermediaries, stakeholders, and potential investors.
• Take direct ownership of high-value investment projects, particularly those involving multinational technology firms.
• Mentor and empower the team to build and convert investment pipelines amongst SME's.
• Oversee the region's key investment initiatives, aligning with strategic programmes such as office-led investment zones.
• Build strong relationships with local authorities, institutions, universities, and industry bodies to enhance the region's attractiveness to investors.
• Engage in account management of key businesses and support commercial revenue opportunities.
• Ensure the effective use of CRM systems to track and optimise business development strategies.
• Lead marketing and lead generation efforts at national and international levels.
• Provide strategic advice to leadership and ensure collaboration with public and private sector partners to drive economic growth in the region.

Role Requirements:

• Degree level education.
• Relevant business development experience in the services and technical sectors.
• Strong negotiating skills.
• Excellent track record of relationship management at senior level.
• Leadership skills and strategic thinking.
• Knowledge of the technology and services sector.
• Proven ability to execute business development strategies.
• Deep understanding of the region's public sector functions and institutions.

This role offers a competitive salary of £75,000 per annum, hybrid working arrangements, and the opportunity to work in modern Birmingham city centre offices.
