An excellent opportunity has arisen to join one of the UK''s leading multidisciplinary RIBA Chartered practices, delivering a diverse range of professional services across the commercial, education, healthcare, and industrial sectors. They are seeking an experienced Senior Building Surveyor to join their Huddersfield studio and make an immediate contribution to the continued success of the team.

Duties for the role of Senior Building Surveyor include:
- Carrying out and overseeing building surveys, condition assessments and technical due diligence
- Producing detailed technical reports, specifications and schedules of works
- Investigating building defects, determining their underlying causes and proposing effective remedial measures
- Delivering professional surveying advice to clients across a varied property portfolio
- Leading refurbishment, alteration and improvement projects from initial concept through to completion
- Taking on Contract Administrator or Employer''s Agent responsibilities where required
- Developing, reviewing and coordinating specifications, tender packages and contract documentation
- Coordinating contractors and consultants while overseeing quality, programme and project costs
- Conducting regular site inspections and providing accurate updates on construction progress
- Advising clients on planned maintenance strategies, building lifecycle requirements and capital expenditure
- Assisting with dilapidations, party wall matters and other specialist building surveying instructions as required
Skills and experience for the role of Senior Building Surveyor:
- Relevant degree in Building Surveying or a related discipline
- MRICS qualified or actively working towards chartership
- Substantial post-qualification experience working as a Building Surveyor within a UK practice or consultancy
- Previous experience in project management and successfully delivering projects
- Experience within healthcare environments and knowledge of fire and safety requirements would be advantageous
- Strong experience in producing specifications, schedules of works and comprehensive technical reports
- Sound understanding of construction technology, building pathology, legislation and industry regulations
- Proven experience in contract administration and managing projects through to completion
- Strong communication, organisational and client-facing skills
