Senior Building Surveyor

Key ResponsibilitiesStatutory compliance: working with HandS or other consultants and team members, ensure the compliance of the property portfolio in terms of CDM, Building Regulations, HandS etc.PPM / maintenance: oversee day to day repairs and PPM contracts across the EstateContract Administration / Project Management: have complete responsibility for projects from inception, specification writing, tendering through to completion including major refurbishment, external repair and redecoration or minor civil engineering schemesSustainability: in conjunction with the above, progress the future proofing of the portfolio by way of specifying suitable insulation or window replacement schemes and installation of low carbon and renewable technologiesMentoring: mentor the junior members of the team and assist with general technical queriesManagement of consultants: oversee consultant surveyors undertaking major work schemes to the leasehold portfolio, and fire, HandS, planning etc. as requiredDefect diagnosis: undertake defect diagnosis across the Estate working with insurers, structural engineers, other specialists etc. Core skillsProven track record and experience of surveying and property managementExcellent written and communication skills, with the ability to communicate at all levels with stakeholders and contractors or consultantsExcellent technical knowledge and experience of working with maintaining and retrofitting traditional and post war buildingsTrack record of ..... full job details .....
