You will provide leadership and oversight for the Building Control service, ensuring robust compliance with statutory duties, enforcement responsibilities, and the highest professional standards. This is an opportunity to make a significant impact on building safety and to shape future service delivery.Key ResponsibilitiesLead and manage a team of Building Control professionals on high-risk and complex cases.Oversee compliance with statutory duties, including enforcement where required.Provide expert advice on the Building Safety Act 2022 and its implications for local authority operations.Essential Skills and ExperienceRegistered Building Control Inspector (Class 3H or higher, as defined by the Building Safety Regulator).Demonstrated competence at specialist level, including oversight of complex/high-rise buildings.Extensive leadership and team management experience.Strong knowledge of statutory compliance and enforcement.Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and project leadership ..... full job details .....
