      <description>Location: Manchester | Salary: 10000-500000 Annual | Type: Permanent | Chartered Senior Bridge Engineer  Location: Hybrid (1-2 days on-site per week) Job Type: Contract Hours: 35 hours per week, Monday to Friday Length of role: Initial 7 months   We are seeking a Chartered Senior Bridge Engineer to lead the development of a new multi-lot framework for highway structures services. This role is crucial for ensuring a compliant, efficient, and value-for-money procurement route that aligns with strategic objectives and asset management requirements. The successful candidate will have significant experience in bridge engineering and a proven track record in managing similar frameworks. Day-to-day of the role:  Lead the design phase, developing and presenting design proposals on a fortnightly basis. Take charge in the preparation of tender documentation ahead of pre-market engagement events with suppliers. Work closely with the Highways Contracts Section and support functions including the Programme Management Office, Procurement, and Legal.
