Senior Engineer - Bridges Permanent Full-Time 36 Hours per Week An exciting opportunity has become available for an experienced Bridge Engineer to take a leading role within a well-established highways and infrastructure engineering function. This position is ideal for someone with a strong background in bridge engineering, structural asset management, and maintenance design, who is looking to step into a senior role with real responsibility for technical delivery, team leadership, and programme oversight. The Role: As Senior Engineer (Bridges), you will oversee the day-to-day management of a diverse portfolio of highway structures, including bridges and related assets. Working closely with senior management, you will lead the development, assessment, and delivery of structural improvement and maintenance schemes. Key responsibilities will include: Leading the design and delivery of new structural works and upgrade projects Managing general and principal inspection programmes for bridges and structures Developing maintenance solutions and long-term asset strategies Overseeing structural surveys, contract documentation, and works supervision Managing structural asset databases and ensuring accurate reporting Supporting procurement and contract management, including claims and variations Providing technical leadership on abnormal load routing and structural safety Ensuring compliance with health and safety legislation and CDM regulations Mentoring and supporting ..... full job details .....
