Role Overview

• Manage bookkeeping for sole traders, limited companies and partnerships.
• Process sales and purchase ledgers, bank reconciliations and trial balances.
• Prepare VAT and CIS returns, supporting Making Tax Digital compliance.
• Produce monthly and quarterly management accounts and reconciliation schedules.
• Help clients adopt cloud software and improve processes.
• Resolve client queries, meet filing deadlines and support junior colleagues.

The Ideal Candidate

• An established bookkeeping background, ideally within accountancy practice.
• Confident using Xero or similar cloud accounting software.
• Sound knowledge of UK VAT, CIS and Making Tax Digital.
• Organised, accurate and comfortable managing client relationships and deadlines.
• AAT Level 3/4, ICB or equivalent is desirable; qualified-by-experience applicants are welcome.
