Role Overview

We’re seeking a Bid Manager with at least 5 years’ experience writing bids for social housing contracts, ideally within a Tier 1 main contractor environment. This role will manage the full bid lifecycle from initial review through to submission, working closely with internal teams to develop compelling, compliant, and commercially sound proposals.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead end-to-end bid processes across construction and infrastructure projects.
  • Coordinate with estimating, planning, commercial, and technical teams.
  • Write and edit bid content that clearly demonstrates the company’s capability and value.
  • Interpret tender documentation and develop compliant, tailored responses.
  • Manage deadlines, internal approvals, and submission quality.
  • Maintain bid libraries, templates, and content resources.
  • Review feedback and contribute to ongoing process improvements.

Key Requirements

  • Minimum 5 years’ experience as a Bid Manager, including writing bids for social housing contracts.
  • Strong experience in a Tier 1 main contractor setting.
  • In-depth knowledge of the UK construction tendering process.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (experience with Adobe InDesign is desirable).
  • Strong project management and organisational abilities.
  • A proactive, collaborative, and detail-focused approach.
