Senior BI Engineer

SENIOR BI ENGINEER REMOTE UP TO £65,000 (8 MONTH FTC PRO-RATED) This is a rare opportunity to join a high impact analytics transformation at a critical moment. You will be brought in as a dedicated contractor to help rescue and accelerate a major BI migration that is central to how the business operates. The focus is on rebuilding analytics the right way, not simply moving dashboards from one tool to another. ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: The Senior BI Engineer will: Migrate and rebuild datasets, dashboards and semantic models from Power BI into OmniRe think reporting structures to reduce duplication and improve self serve analyticsDesign reusable datasets and analytics topics to support consistent insightsWork closely with data, backend and frontend teams on models and visualisation designRun stakeholder interviews to understand reporting needs, gaps and pain pointsDecide where redesign is preferable to direct migrationSupport governance, documentation and data quality best practiceHelp lay the foundations for AI ready analytics within the BI layer YOUR SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE: The ideal candidate will have the following skills and experience: Strong commercial SQL capabilityExperience with Power BI, Looker or similar modern BI toolsConfidence working with dimensional models and semantic layersComfortable engaging directly with stakeholders and translating business questions into analytics solutionsExperience rebuilding or rationalising BI estates rather than maintaining ..... full job details .....
