This permanent post suits a Senior Battery Scientist seeking laboratory-based research within a progressive energy storage firm near Caerphilly. Reporting to the Head of Department, the appointee supports programmes that commercialise sustainable batteries, covering sodium-ion and lithium-ion technologies. Applicants need a relevant PhD plus over four years of postdoctoral experience, ideally with hard carbon anodes, storage materials and formulation science. Duties include designing experiments, characterising cells and reporting findings to partners. Salary ranges from £50,000 to £60,000 annually, reflecting the senior grade.
