      <description>Location: City of London | Salary: &amp;pound;500 - &amp;pound;550/day | Type: Contract | Senior Backend Developer (Python / Azure)    550 per day INSIDE IR35    6 months    UK-based - once a week in London        Role   Hands-on backend developer building and integrating Python-based services within a secure, enterprise environment. Focus on API development, system integration, and reliable delivery.   Key Responsibilities    Build backend services using  Python (FastAPI)   Develop APIs and integrate across disconnected systems  Deploy solutions via  Azure Function Apps   Implement  CI/CD pipelines (GitHub)   Write and optimise  SQL queries   Contribute to  architecture and secure design   Clarify requirements, identify gaps, and shape solutions  Support delivery and manage client expectations  C# and .Net Skills    Skills &amp; Experience    Strong Python + FastAPI experience  Hands-on delivery background  Azure (Function Apps essential)  DevOps / CI-CD (GitHub)  Solid SQL (querying, not DBA)  Architecture awareness (security, scalability)  Strong communication and stakeholder engagement &lt;/ul</description>
