Senior Automotive Technician - Workshop Lead

A well-established independent garage in Oxfordshire is looking for an experienced Senior Automotive Technician - Workshop Lead to take a hands-on leadership role in their busy, modern workshop. This is a fantastic opportunity to lead on complex diagnostics and repairs while supporting and mentoring a team of junior technicians and apprentices. The successful candidate will ensure high standards of workmanship, safety, and efficiency across the workshop.Key Responsibilities Lead complex diagnostics and repairs across a wide range of vehicles.Mentor and develop junior technicians and apprentices.Oversee daily workshop operations, including workflow and productivity.Support the business in building a high-performing, professional team.Carry out MOT testing in line with DVSA standards. Requirements NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent) in Vehicle Maintenance and Repair.MOT Tester qualification.Minimum 10 years experience in vehicle mechanics, including diagnostics.Full UK Driving Licence.Previous experience supervising or mentoring is advantageous.Professional, reliable, and committed to delivering high-quality work.
