Senior Auditor

Role: Senior Auditor Type: Interim 3-month Contract Salary: 250 to 350 per day UMB (Inside IR35) Hybrid: Ideally, 2 days in the office per week Location: Leicestershire Sellick Partnership is partnering with a Local Authority organisation to recruit a Senior Auditor on an interim basis. The responsibilities of the Senior Auditor will be:Delivering a programme of risk-focused internal audits across a range of council servicesLeading audit assignments from planning and scoping through to reporting and follow-upAssessing the effectiveness of governance, risk management and internal control arrangementsEngaging with senior stakeholders to agree findings and practical recommendationsProviding audit advice, consultancy and supporting investigations into complex issues, irregularities or fraud where required.Ensuring work is completed within agreed deadlines and professional standards The ideal candidate for the Senior Auditor role will have:Demonstrable experience within a Local Authority internal audit functionA strong grasp of risk-based auditing methodologies and control frameworksExperience delivering risk-based internal audits across complex, technical, political or sensitive areas within a Local Authority environment.The ability to produce clear, concise reports with evidence-based conclusionsCCAB, CMIIA, PIIA or AAT qualified, or part-qualified with substantial relevant internal audit experience.
