Audit Manager / Senior Manager

— Central London (Hybrid)Butler Rose Public Practice are delighted to be supporting our client, a highly prominent firm, part of a Top 20 group, with offices based in a highly prestigious area of London, that are eager to appoint a highly ambitious and experienced audit professional in the capacity of Manager or Senior Manager to play a pivotal role as part of a highly successful audit department.The firm’s audit portfolio comprises mainly large and complex clients with turnover ranging to approximately £1bn and spanning a diverse range of industry sectors.Responsibilities

Working on large audit clients, managing and leading an audit team, and completing technical workLiaising directly with clients to finalise their positionPreparing budgets and reviewing actual costs, keeping the Head of Audit up to date with any overrunsHelping with / leading one-off projects to support the growth of the firmInvolvement in pitching for and winning new workBeing confident in billing clients for work done, increasing fees or quotes where necessary and ensuring any extra or additional work is explained clearly and in a timely mannerLead, inspire and mentor a team of audit professionals, fostering a culture of continuous learning and professional developmentSelecting, briefing, and assisting members of the team on assignmentsIdentify training and development needs within the team and implement effective training programmes to enhance technical skills and knowledgeStaff management, including regular check-in meetings to set and monitor objectives, and approving timesheetsConducting regular performance evaluations, providing constructive feedback and supporting career progression within the teamPerson requirements

ACA or ACCA qualified with 5+ years’ experience ideally working for a medium sized UK based firm in the capacity of Audit Manager or Senior ManagerProven track record of managing and reviewing an audit teamExperience of attending and participating in client pitches would be highly desirableWillingness to become an RI would be highly desirableThis is an exceptional opportunity to join a leading firm based in a highly prestigious part of London that offers genuine career progression alongside comprehensive employee benefits.Seniority level
