Senior Audit and Accounts Manager

A firm of Chartered Accountants in the Bradford area is seeking an experienced Senior Manager to join their leadership team.This is an excellent opportunity for a driven professional who enjoys working closely with owner-managed businesses and is keen to deliver a genuinely rounded accountancy service across accounts, tax, and advisory.The RoleThe successful candidate will take responsibility for managing a diverse and loyal portfolio of clients, spanning a broad range of sectors. The portfolio is intentionally mixed, incorporating accounts preparation, tax planning, and business advisory, offering variety and the chance to build deep client relationships.While some exposure to audit work may be beneficial, audit experience is not a prerequisite, making this role particularly suited to those from a general practice background who prefer a broader advisory focus.Key responsibilities include:Managing and developing a varied portfolio of OMB clientsOverseeing accounts and tax compliance work, ensuring high technical standardsProviding proactive business and tax advice tailored to client needsSupporting and mentoring junior team membersBuilding long-term client relationships and identifying opportunities for growthContributing to the strategic development of the firmThe OpportunityThis role offers a clear and tangible progression route, with the potential to move into a Salaried Partner position in the medium term.
