Senior Audio Data Scientist (Research)Remote, Europe3-5 days per week €70,000 - €100,000 salary (or equivalent compensation) Sentinel is partnering with a specialist team working at the cutting edge of speech AI and clinical research. Their work sits at the intersection of acoustic engineering, machine learning and regulated clinical environments. This is a senior individual contributor role with two core objectives: producing credible, publishable research that validates the science externally, and building the models and pipelines that power the product internally. Responsibilities:Building and improving audio and transcript processing pipelines - segmentation, noise reduction, feature extractionExtracting acoustic, prosodic and linguistic features: pitch, speech rate, pauses, jitter, shimmer, spectral features, sentiment and moreDeveloping models that map signals to behavioural indicators and well-being scoresFine-tuning and integrating LLMs for conversation summarisation, signal labelling and emotion assessmentDesigning validation studies and contributing to publications, reports and clinical evidence packages Requirements:Research background, including publishing and presentingHands-on experience with raw audio data and speech processing tools (such as librosa, Kaldi, Praat)Strong in ML frameworks (PyTorch, TensorFlow, scikit-learn) and experienced with LLMs end-to-endPhD or similar depth of experience in speech technology, acoustics, ML or computational linguistics ..... full job details .....
