The Role
You''ll be joining a nationally recognised Intellectual Property team, advising on the development, structuring, and exploitation of IP rights. Responsibilities include:Drafting and negotiating IP transactions including licensing, assignments, and franchisingAdvising on IP ownership structures and auditsSupporting RandD, collaboration agreements, and joint ventures across academic and private sectorsProviding strategic input on broader commercial transactions involving IPWorking with high-profile clients across retail, food, tech, and energy sectorsCollaborating with a team of over 20 IP lawyers, including senior contacts in BristolCandidate Requirements
This role is suited to a qualified lawyer with:6+ years PQE in non-contentious/transactional IP mattersStrong technical expertise and commercial awarenessExcellent drafting and client communication skillsA collaborative mindset and enthusiasm for innovationRegistration with the SRA or Law Society of ScotlandWorking Arrangements
