A well-respected architectural practice based in Central London is looking to appoint a Senior Architectural Technologist to strengthen its growing team. This opportunity is ideally suited to an accomplished professional with extensive technical expertise and a proven track record of leading complex projects. The successful candidate will take ownership of projects from inception through to completion, coordinating multidisciplinary teams, managing stakeholder relationships, and ensuring the successful delivery of design and construction solutions. This role offers the chance to play a key part in project delivery while supporting the development of junior colleagues and contributing to the continued growth of the practice.

Key Responsibilities for the Senior Architectural Technologist
- Lead architectural projects through all phases of design and construction.
- Coordinate and manage project teams, consultants, and external stakeholders.
- Prepare, review, and oversee technical drawings, specifications, and construction documentation.
- Deliver projects under both traditional and design & build procurement methods.
- Build and maintain strong client relationships, acting as a trusted point of contact throughout project delivery.
- Support business development efforts by identifying opportunities and delivering exceptional client service.
- Ensure projects comply with relevant legislation, industry standards, contractual obligations, and regulatory requirements.
- Provide technical guidance, mentoring, and support to less experienced team members.
- Assist with project programming, resource allocation, and contract administration responsibilities.
Requirements
- Extensive post-qualification experience within an architectural practice, including responsibility for leading projects.
- Advanced proficiency in Revit.
- Strong technical understanding of construction detailing, building regulations, and technical documentation.
- Demonstrable experience delivering projects via both traditional and design & build procurement routes.
- Excellent communication and client management skills, supported by strong commercial awareness.
- Proven leadership and team management capabilities with the ability to effectively delegate responsibilities.
- Collaborative and proactive approach with strong influencing and stakeholder management skills.
- Experience across all RIBA work stages, including traditional contract administration, would be advantageous.
- Sound knowledge of construction contracts, statutory regulations, building codes, and associated compliance requirements.
