Senior Architectural Technologist
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Senior Architectural Technologist to join a highly respected, award-winning architectural practice with a strong reputation across the industrial, manufacturing and large-scale infrastructure sectors. This is a key position within a growing specialist team delivering complex projects for globally recognised brands across the UK and internationally.
This role would suit an experienced Senior Architectural Technologist with a passion for technically challenging projects, innovative construction solutions and collaborative working. You will play a pivotal role in the technical delivery of flagship projects, mentoring junior team members and helping shape the future growth of the sector team.
The Role
As a Senior Architectural Technologist, you will lead and contribute to the technical design and delivery of major industrial and manufacturing developments, including logistics facilities, food production schemes, process-driven industrial buildings, clean manufacturing environments and infrastructure-led projects.
Working closely with architects, clients, consultants and contractors, you will ensure projects are delivered efficiently, accurately and in line with current legislation, technical standards and client requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the technical design and delivery of large-scale industrial and infrastructure projects within a BIM environment
- Produce high-quality technical drawings, specifications and construction information across all RIBA stages
- Coordinate design information with consultants, contractors and wider project teams
- Ensure compliance with current Building Regulations, planning requirements and industry standards
- Develop and manage BIM models using Revit and contribute to BIM best practices
- Attend project meetings and maintain strong client and stakeholder relationships
- Mentor and support junior technologists and technicians
- Contribute to technical excellence, innovation and quality assurance across the team
- Stay up to date with industry legislation, regulations and emerging technologies
- Support the continued growth and development of the industrial and manufacturing sector team
Requirements
- Degree or HNC/HND qualified in Architectural Technology or a related discipline
- CIAT accredited or working towards Chartered status would be advantageous
- Minimum 5-10 years' experience within an architectural practice, with experience delivering complex projects
- Proven track record in the technical delivery of industrial, manufacturing, logistics or infrastructure projects
- Strong technical knowledge of UK Building Regulations, construction detailing and building systems
- Excellent Revit skills with working knowledge of AutoCAD and BIM workflows
- Experience across sectors such as industrial, logistics, manufacturing, energy, waste or data centres would be highly advantageous
- Strong coordination, communication and problem-solving skills
- Ability to manage multiple projects and work effectively within multidisciplinary teams
- Passion for delivering high-quality technical solutions and innovative design outcomes
