Senior Analyst, Regulatory Reporting – Asset Management role at Northern Trust. The Senior Analyst works within the Regulatory Reporting team at Northern Trust Asset Management (NTAM) to develop and deliver complete, timely and accurate reports to relevant National Competent Authorities.Role

The Senior Analyst role is a central part of the Regulatory Reporting team at Northern Trust Asset Management (NTAM), a global investment manager overseeing over $1.4 trillion in AUM. The Senior Analyst applies technical regulatory reporting expertise to a range of regime deliverables and provides updates and input to internal and external management forums. They act as a specialized source of regulatory knowledge. The role is hybrid with 3 days per week in the office at 50 Bank Street, Canary Wharf.Key Responsibilities

Daily validation and submission of regulatory reporting to national competent authoritiesException managementMaintenance of adequate operational procedures applicable to the roleReview of controls and reconciliations to identify areas of improvement and ensure continued relevanceIdentification of processes in need of improvementTimely escalation of regulatory breaches to mitigate regulatory impactKeep up to date on regulatory developments relevant to the roleDevelop effective relationships with peers and stakeholdersVendor service delivery monitoringContribution to business initiatives including ad-hoc project involvementIssue investigation and identification of root causes of errorsInteraction with teams in systems and operations to recommend, formulate and test solutions to improve process efficiency and productivityContribution to business requirements definition, implementation planning and feasibilityKnowledge/ Skills

Experienced in Excel and handling formulaeRegulatory reporting obligations EMIR, SFTR, FinfraG, MiFID, MMFR highly desirableExposure to handling Xceptor data automation software desirableExperience Required

Several years of related work experience in the financial industry in regulatory operationsProcess implementation experience desirableBusiness analysis experienceCompetencies

An understanding of Asset Management functions from Front to Back Office and supporting functionsUnderstanding of regulatory reporting concepts and implicationsAdherence to a risk management cultureAttention to detailStrong interpersonal skillsProven organisational skills and ability to deliver to regulatory and project deadlinesAbility to work under pressure and take ownership and accountabilityAbility to articulate and document issues and enhancements requiredSelf-starter with strong analytical skillsWorking With Us
