This will be a hands-on role within the labs, using mass spectrometry techniques to perform specialist analysis work as directed by their customers. The ideal candidate will have a background that includes either: -A strong scientific academic background, ideally in Chemistry or similar at degree or A level standard along with ideally 2 years+ in a similar lab-based roleORA higher-level academic background Master s degree with 18 months lab experience or fresh PhD in a relevant analytical fieldAlong with: -An understanding of chromatographic analysis techniques GC/MS and / or LC/MS techniques are key to the role but any experience of FTIR, TGA, UV-VIS or GPC would be useful (and you will receive training on any areas you aren t familiar with)Experience working in a regulated / structured lab environment GMP, GLP, ISO17025 would be usefulThis is an important role within the lab to perform extractables and leachables based testing to fulfil their customer requirements.
