Senior Aerodynamicist
BAE Systems, a leading entity in the Defence and Security sector, is seeking a skilled Senior Aerodynamicist to join their team in Brough. This is a contract position for a period of 12 months, requiring full-time onsite work within a 37-hour standard working week.Key Responsibilities:Leading aerodynamic design and analysis efforts for defence-related projects.Developing and validating aerodynamic models.Collaborating with cross-functional teams to optimise aerodynamic performance.Providing technical guidance and mentorship to junior aerodynamicists.Conducting wind tunnel testing and computational fluid dynamics (CFD) simulations.Preparing detailed technical reports and presentations for stakeholders.Ensuring compliance with relevant standards and regulations.Participating in project planning and review meetings.Job Requirements:Extensive experience in aerodynamics within the Defence and Security sector.Strong proficiency in aerodynamic design and analysis tools.Understanding of wind tunnel testing and CFD simulation techniques.Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.Ability to lead and mentor a team effectively.Strong communication and interpersonal skills.Relevant engineering degree or equivalent qualification.If you are a seasoned professional with a passion for aerodynamics and are keen on contributing to cutting-edge defence projects, we would love to hear from you.
