Responsible for the sourcing and acquisition of profitable and appropriate trading and development opportunities in line with the stated acquisition strategy with a strong background across commercial, industrial and residential sectorsCarrying out saturation surveys and other site identification tasksLeads and maintains a network of industry contacts (agents, funds, liquidators, landowners, etc.) to identify and transact new investment/development opportunitiesIdentify and visit sites for potential development/trading anglesRealise the development/planning potential of a site/land; assess end-to-end development and onward sale and disposal with planningAppraise sites to establish land value and trading potentialNegotiate unconsented/subject to planning deals and options with landowners and agentsBuild relationships with possible exit routes on a site-by-site basisUnderstand national and local planning legislation (Local Plans, NPPF guidance, Affordable thresholds) and work closely with planning teams to assess suitability for development and the likelihood of obtaining permission for a variety of developmentsLiaise with external companies to arrange site surveys as needed to finalise bidsSubmit and monitor bidsThe Person

MRICS or MRTPI qualified (ideally)5 years+ experience with a proven track record in transacting deals across commercial, industrial and residential sectors (evidence of deals history)Established and relevant proven network of agent contactsSound numeracy, valuation and appraisal skillsComfortable appraising commercial, industrial and residential opportunitiesSound knowledge of options/alternative acquisition structuresSound knowledge of planning/building regulations system and processesAambitious individual with an understanding of Capital Markets, Yields, Net Present Value etc., with the ability to maximise valueProficient with Argus Developer and Excel softwareFull driving licenseSeniority level
